Hi Todd,

Thanks for the words of encouragement on my blog. Very cool to see you stop by and feel compelled enough to leave a comment. Question for you: Do you work at something higher than 72 dpi... 300 dpi? Curious because I know most of your work is for a digital end point.

SHINY BLUES. This is absolutely beautiful. Love the use of colour especially the various gradations of blue. I'd like to sit in there and play on all the cool looking things, for sure!

Hi Todd, it's art like this that makes me question if I chose the right profession... Damn, you're good!!!

JustMe said...

I agree with Anders and Colins. You've channeled the Dark Crystal in the coolest way. "The Great Conjunction is near!" That moving astronomy sculpture in the film was one of my favorite parts!

I love the colors, forms, and depth in your imagery. Plus, your creatures have so much personality! I can see why Disney hired you. It sounds like you have such a cool job.

Thank you for your words on my blog and my art. It means a lot coming from someone with work like yours.

It's really nice to see concepts that aren't a few grungy textures tossed against the loosest of forms.

WooOOow !! Les couleurs sont douces, paraissent presque pâles, pourtant le tout est fort et très contrasté.

Et ces reflets... Ces reflets sont un vrai régal pour les yeux !

(un peu de français, j'espère qu'on ne m'en voudra pas)

^^ Bonne continuation !!

Real nice work, Todd. Atmosphere for days... you make it look easy though I'm sure it's not. Also the baboon-ish character below is swell.

We'll add you to our links! Cheers!

Hi Todd! Thanks so much for visiting my blahggha. I love how soft and subtle your paintings are in today's world of overly-shiny concept paintings! Geez, that voodoo guy looks good enough to eat!! I'll be back for more!

Todd, I love this painting but like some of your other readers, I am very curious: is this purely a digital image, or is there a hand painting out there that looks something like this?
