Male Figure

Someone requested more figure drawings. Here you go, MN. 

When I drew this dude there were a couple elements that combined to give him a heroic look - the strange lighting on his shoulders and head, as well as the low perspective I drew him from.

 

I really love figure drawing. I wish I had more time to do it these days.

Concept for an enviroment

Wind Ranger

Owl Lady

You might think I forgot to paint her eyes, however, you are wrong. Her eyes are non-functioning (a fancy way to say "blind"), so thank goodness she has her owl-partner, who does her seeing for her. This is especially convenient because owls see much better than humans. It can also fly overhead and give her a bird's eye view of things. The only problem is when the owl flies too far away from her she stumbles around a bit.... : /

(Truth is I did this painting a few months ago and just made up the story to go with it right now. I hesitated to tell such a nerdy story, but then I realized that most people that read this blog are just as nerdy as I am. Right.......? I'm not alone here am I?)

I realize this is a little bit disturbing, but I really wanted to draw a self-portrait for my children for Valentine's Day.

Viking

A friend asked me to draw this for one of his projects. We were going for more of a mythical Viking than a historical Viking.

For living in such a cold climate, you'd think that poor lady would wear more clothing...
